October 17, 2020 - Motor issues ruin Leonhardi's hot start in night two of SAS doubleheader
1On Friday afternoon Zach Leonhardi invaded Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) to kick off the two-day King of the Mountain Championship. Drawing 34 Southern All Star Series entries, Leonhardi secured his spot into the main event with the fourth fastest lap in his time trial group. With $3,000 on the line, Zach faded four positions in the 30-lap affair to register a 12th place finish.

For the $7,000-to-win finale on Saturday evening, Zach laid down the fourth fastest time in his group before picking up an 8-lap heat race victory. Slated to start the main event third, Leonhardi discovered motor issues before the start of the 50-lapper that forced him to start-and-park.
