On Saturday night Zach Leonhardi was one of 35 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals series entries signed in at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) for the $10,000 top prize. After mechanical issues prevented him from recording a lap in hot laps, Leonhardi followed up the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 6th place finish in his heat. Coming in 2nd in his B-Main behind Dillon Tidmore, Zach earned the 19th-starting position for the main event. With $10,000 on the line, Zach Leonhardi was an early retiree from the 60-lapper on lap-49 while being credited with a 21st place finish.

Zach Leonhardi followed the Southern All Star Series to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) on Sunday afternoon for the rescheduled GigiStrong March Madness from early March. In a field of 30 Super Late Models, Zach registered the sixth fastest time in qualifying positioning him 3rd on the starting grid for his heat race. Dropping one spot short of a transfer spot late in his heat, Leonhardi went on to grab the 6th and final transfer position in his B-Main. On Friday evening Zach Leonhardi traveled to Southern Raceway (Milton, Florida) for the Southern All Star Series doubleheader. Drawing 21 cars for the Bash at the Beach, Leonhardi registered the ninth fastest time in his qualifying group positioning him 18th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $3,000 on the line, Zach advanced through the field 11 spots to place 7th.

The following night for the $7,000 top prize, Zach came in third fastest in his qualifying group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Casey Roberts. Starting the main event in 4th, Zach Leonhardi dropped one spot in the 60-lap affair notching a 5th place finish behind Casey Roberts, David Breazeale, Neil Baggett, and Riley Hickman.

Saturday night saw Zach Leonhardi in action at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) for the 50th anniversary season-opener. After laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Leonhardi held off 4th-starting Shane Fulcher in the 30-lap feature to pick up his first win of the season and a $1,500 payday. Fulcher, Shane Clanton, Johnny Cloer, and Dalton Polston trailed him the checkers.

Zach Leonhardi kicked off the 2019 season on Saturday evening at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia), where he was competing in a field of 29 Ultimate Southeast Series competitors.

After suffering a broken axle in hot-laps, Leonhardi registered the second-fastest time in his qualifying group behind Jason Hiett, which locked his spot into the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Rolling off third on the grid, Zach and the team unfortunately made the wrong adjustments before the start of the 40-lapper. As a result, he battled the handle on his entry to a 15th-place finish.
