Saturday night found Zach Leonhardi in action at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Ultimate Southeast Series sanctioned program. In a field of 31 cars, Leonhardi locked his spot into the $4,000-to-win A-Main with the third fastest lap in his time trial group. Rolling off 5th, Zach slipped outside the Top-5 in the early going but worked his way back up to a 4th place finish behind Austin Horton, Casey Roberts, and Jason Croft with Austin Smith coming in 5th. After Mother Natured wiped out Friday and Saturday’s events, Zach Leonhardi invaded Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) on Sunday afternoon debuting with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals. Drawing 23 entries for the fifth round of the rain-soaked tour, Leonhardi timed in third fastest in his qualifying group which positioned him 6th on the starting grid for the $5,300-to-win A-Main. On Saturday night Zach Leonhardi followed the Southern All Star Series to Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tennessee) for the July Fourth Spectacular 50. With threatening rain forcing race-officials to eliminate heat races, Leonhardi locked into the 11th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main via time trials. Passing five cars in the rain-shortened 38-lap affair, Zach reeled in a 6th place finish.
