 Zach Leonhardi kicked off the Southern All Star Series sanctioned weekend on Friday night at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the $5,000 top prize. In a field of 36 cars, Zach recorded the 12th fastest time overall in qualifying before falling one spot shy of a transfer position in his B-Main with a 4th place finish. Relying on a provisional into the opening night feature, Leonhardi improved eight spots in the 50-lapper reeling in a 16th place outing.
 The following night at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama), Leonhardi followed up the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group with a consolation victory. Starting the $4,000-to-win finale in 11th, Zach jumped up three spots in the 40-lapper to place 8th. (Mike Blevins photo)

Saturday night saw Zach Leonhardi in action at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Short Track Spring Championship. Laying down the third fastest time in a field of 26 cars, Leonhardi earned the 3rd-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Holding his spot for all 50-laps, Zach posted a 3rd place finish behind Michael Page and Casey Roberts with Gary McPherson and Kurt English completing the Top-5 finishers.
